Idlewood Afterschool Dance Classes

The D.R.E.A.M. Center dance studio is excited to partner with Idlewood ES to start an afterschool dance program for students in Grade Pre-K - 1(Discovery Dancers) and Grades 2-5 (Distinguished Dancers). 

Our dance outreach program seeks to provide access to dance for children ages 4 -12 in local daycares, schools, and summer camps. Our goal is to provide a safe, reliable, and affordable program for enrichment through dance instruction and opportunities in dance for children to grow in confidence, discipline, collaboration skills, health, and overall development. Our mission is to build up, inspire, and educate young people to reach for and accomplish their dreams through their experiences in dance. 

 

Session 1: September - December
Session 2: January - May


Location: Idlewood ES

Grade Pre-K - 1 (Discovery Dancers):

This program offers dance classes in ballet, providing a foundation in classical dance technique while nurturing creativity and self-expression.

Days: Mondays

Time: 2:30 PM - 3:45 PM

Styles of Dance: Ballet & Jazz

Program Fee: $200 per student/per session

  • Includes 13 classes per session
  • Includes Dancewear (T-shirt, Ballet Shoes)

Maximum Participants: 20 students

This program will explore jazz and hip-hop styles, encouraging students to develop rhythm, coordination, and confidence through dynamic and contemporary movement.
